Meet the Team
Kurt Vomfell, PLA, ASLA
Founder, Licensed Landscape Architect
Kurt grew up in a suburb of Detroit and pursued studies in landscape architecture and horticulture at Michigan State University. After receiving his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 2001, Kurt worked in southern California for 10 years. Following his heart and his love for the northern forests, he moved to northwest Montana in 2011. He is passionate about the challenge of placing homes on mountainsides and restoring sites to their natural splendor. And as a lifelong outdoorsman, Kurt enjoys spending time with his wife camping, hiking, canoeing and cooking in the woods.
Corey Thorson
Associate
Raised on a farm in western North Dakota, Corey's love for the outdoors and working started at a very young age. With a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from North Dakota State University and hands-on experience in retail garden center management, landscape installation and heavy equipment operation (cranes are his favorite!), Corey enjoys the ever-changing, multifaceted world of landscape architecture. In his free time, Corey loves to spend time with his wife and children hiking, biking, catching Kokanee salmon through the ice and chasing huckleberries.
Liz Bossler
Associate
Liz moved to Montana from Massillon, Ohio. She has a degree in landscape horticulture from the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute. Liz grew up in a family that valued the outdoors, and her grandmother sparked her interest in gardening at a very young age. She gained an appreciation for landscape architecture when working for a landscape architect in Canton, Ohio. She has had hands-on experience in landscape installation and as an arborist assistant and horticultural designer. Liz enjoys spending her free time skiing, climbing, gardening and most important hanging out with her dog Otto.
